Travelodge is the UK’s fastest growing budget hotel company, and it’s easy to see why. You won’t find much individuality here – rooms tend to follow a set formula and are sometimes pretty bland and uninspiring, though the company has made efforts to make its decor more colouful in recent times. You will find decent service in venues which are clean and comfortable, which is possibly more important. Here you'll get all the basics you associate with large hotel chains - and as so many venues are opening each year, you shouldn't have a problem getting a room.
Price examples (January 2008)
Travelodge prices tend to vary depending how far you book in advance – we found rooms as cheap as £9 for June, July and August if you book in January! Generally, a room will cost around £19 if you book more than 21 days in advance, and between £29 and £59 if you book more than 7 days in advance. The earlier the better!
Why is it a good choice for a budget traveller?
With Travelodge there's a sense that you know what you're getting in terms of service and standards. It's probably the best value chain-hotel in its category - particularly if you can take advantage of its current £9 deal! To keep prices down, Travelodge doesn't provide toiletries in rooms, gives you two towels and skips on the biscuits in your room. This means you don't pay for frills you might not actually want.
Where is the hotel?
