It's no coincidence that the London Bridge flagship 'The Village' of St Christopher's won the Visit London award for best hostel in London 2007. It's built a well-deserved name for itself by providing cheap and clean accommodation and comfort (including a rooftop sauna and hot tub), quality in-house entertainment (DJs, karaoke, sight-seeing tours, games nights, pool tournaments and all you can eat BBQs) and good facilities. The Village has a huge chillout room, complete with large TV, beanbags, couches and beanbags. Its seven venues offer a similar standard and have their own bars attached, and you can choose from dorms of various sizes, twins and doubles. Some venues have female-only wings.

Prices vary from hostel to hostel, with dorm beds starting at around £9.50 for a place in an 8-person room in Hammersmith or The Orient Expresso. At The Village, prices start at around £15 per night for a dorm bed - but of course, you do get access to the sauna and hot tub. Great after a hard day's sightseeing!
